Fantasy Football: Most Under Rated QB

Indianpolis Colts QB Peyton Manning.

This may surprise but QBs do not typically throw 25+ TDs per season. Since 1998, there have been 65 seasons of 25 or more TD passes.

Manning has done it 11 times. Second place is Brett Favre with six seasons.

Other notables: Tom Brady, Kurt Warner and Drew Brees (4)

I read some of your postings from time to time. But for the most part, you make the most obvious calls. And Peyton Manning underrated? I think everyone and their mother knows how good he is....and notables Tom Brady and Drew Brees? Again another obvious here, not underrated at all.

IN MY OPINION, a sleeper QB would be Carson Palmer and McNabb, both in for huge years, relative to where they are being drafted.

Aren't Palmer and McNabb the obvious "sleepers"?

My point is Manning is being overshadowed by Brees, Brady and Aaron Rodgers. As a result, he is under appreciated as most fantasy football loves the sexier pick.

The challenge with a "sleeper" at QB is it really should be one who isn't in the Top 12 right now but will be. This allows a team to punt the McNabbs and Palmers in the 5th-8th rounds and take flyers on back-up RBs and WRs.

Ok granted....but when I think of sleeper, the top 3 aren't close to mind. And I agree with you that it shouldn't include Top 12, well maybe not Top 12, but I get your point.

You were the one with the original post saying he was a (peyton) sleeper though. Depending on the league format, I think I'd rather take the position player (WR/RB) at Peyton, Bree's, and Brady's ADP, just because I know grab a Palmer or McNabb later and still maintain value at the QB position. Just putting in my two cents...

I did call him under-rated and not a sleeper. However, I want you $0.02. There are no guarantees in this game and the mor epoints of view, the better the decision-making.

Would you pay $10 a year for more incisive analysis that is hsared on a blog?

No offense, but probably not. I subscribe to rotoworld's season pass, and several other free publications. But you have to start somewhere...keep it up.

And yes I did see you wrote under rated, my apologies.

From a football guy to another football guy....would you start Peyton Hillis this weekend (other choices are James Davis or Norwood), I know they are bad, but i have Lynch suspended, and Pierre Thomas most likely out....

I'd go Hillis esp in PPR. He should catch a couple/three passes. Really yuck choices, I agree.

Rotoworld season pass is $14.99. Would you say that is the limit that you'd pay?
