Notes from yesterday:
The Cardinals recalled AAA OF Rick Ankiel yesterday, and he immediately stepped in and did what he had been doing all season. He homered and struck out twice in four ABs. At this point in the season, NL-only teams desperate for power should take a chance. My guesstimate would be a Russell Branyan-like performance.
