Notes from yesterday:
Orioles' closer Chris Ray underwent Tommy John surgery and will miss all of the 2008 season. This means their is an open competition for the job. Right now, Danys Baez is closing, but this morning's reports have manager Dave trembley mentioning how "everyone" wants rookie James Hoey.
