It is prospect list time! ESPN's Keith Law began rolling out his top prospects list. Yesterday, he posted his Top 5 prospects by postions. Today, he is posting top 5 by organization, and, on Thursday, he will release his Top 100.
Unfortunately, all the lists are behind the Insider subscription wall. As a result, I will only "tease" you with the top player at each position. I'll try to answer any questions about a specific player's presence on the list, though.

Funny thing is the Giants have been pulling their hair out all offseason, trying to fill the hole at 1B. Do you have any idea where Villalona is now? Has he been invited to Spring Training?
Another thing... how long is a player a "prospect"? Chamberlain has already made 21 appearances, including 2 in the postseason. Is he really a prospect any more?
Lastly, did you notice how many TB Rays made the list?!? Three of the ten pitchers were Rays and they had some scattered throughout the bats as well.
fijis-
Villalona just finished rookie ball. He'll likely start in Low A. He's a couple years away at a minimum.
I like Dan Ortmeier as a sleeper at 1B. He could get 10 SB from the position.
Prospects are typically define das Rookie-of-the-year eligible (50 or fewer IP or 130 or fewer ABs). There is a service time element for ROY but most rankings do not consider that.
CF Desmond Jennings and SS Redi brignac are on the list.
