Devine bounces back ajc.com
I panned him earlier in the off-season. (Well, not really, but I was thinking it as I wrote that.)
If he continues his one-game streak of good appearances, I can see him being worthy of a high minor league draft pick.
If he is lights out, I can see him being protected on the roster of the team that plucked him from the free agent pool last year.
The first scenario is more likely though. The second is hard to recommmend. I've protected non-active roster "closers" before, and it has not worked well. (Jeff Zimmerman in 2002 and Mike MacDougal in 2004.) I do not advise it.
